Global Chief Operating Officer Greg Dolan brought all of our Business Services teams together this November for a series of four Strategy Forum events showcasing how our global functions are helping us deliver the Firm’s 2020 strategy.

Greg was joined by Chief Information Officer Tony Cordeiro, Chief Marketing Officer Michael Hertz and Chief People Officer Jennifer Philpot. Director of Operations, Manila, Carlo Mata joined the Manila Forum, and APAC Chief Operating Officer Jennifer Parks joined the Asia-Pacific session.

In addition to an overview of how Business Services collaborates across the Firm’s matrix structure, Greg explained how our functional priorities closely align with the Firm’s strategic ambitions, with recent senior hires into areas such as Recruitment and Pricing examples of investment that will help us towards our strategic goals.

Each of the leaders joining Greg went on to highlight their own functional priorities and achievements:

• Jennifer explained how the Firm’s recruiting rebrand, new careers website and Employee Value Proposition are designed to make our careers at White & Case truly fulfilling
• Michael brought to life the global team effort involved in winning a pitch with Smiths, a new client
• Tony highlighted the importance of being cyber aware in protecting the Firm and our clients from the ongoing cyber threat
• Carlo detailed Manila’s extensive office activity including the volunteering efforts currently underway
• Jennifer reviewed the progress which the Asia Pacific region is making on engagement.
