Together, We Are White & Casex
Inspirational leadership talks and guest appearances from a world-renowned artist and record-breaking swimmer were just a few of the highlights of a packed Global Partner Meeting in New York. The Reporter found out more.
Five-hundred-and-seventy White & Case leaders from around the globe gathered for our biennial Global Partner Meeting (GPM) event this February giving them a chance to meet and reflect on recent progress towards our 2020 strategy and to plan ahead for continued growth.
New York’s Sheraton Times Square Hotel was the venue, and proceedings kicked-off with a warm welcome from outgoing New York OEP, Jack Pace, who described the ‘magic’ of New York at a time when we’re reaping the benefits of inspiring new office space in the heart of the city.
He said: “There’s something about this busy place that brings the best out of us. And we’ve been feeling the magic of the city more and more at White & Case these past few years.”
Chairman Hugh Verrier then took the stage to stress the importance of meeting and exceeding expectations in 2018 and beyond, following a year of double digit revenue growth.
The GPM also offered a valuable opportunity for practice and industry group meetings, and a record 113 meetings were held over six days.
Honoring a Firm legend: the meeting saw us celebrate former Chairman
Jim Hurlock with a posthumous award for Distinguished Achievement.
